Carey Mulligan during ‘The Great Gatsby’ press conference in Cannes (May 15, 2013).

Pride not prejudice #rctid
I’m too amused by the fact that they used the pic of Gaz kissing Scholesy after he scored against City. LOL. One of my favorite United moments.

you put up your defenses when you leave
you leave because you’re certain of who you want to leave
you’re putting up your armour when you leave
you leave because you’re certain of who you want to be#this relationship is so so important to me #if draco doesn’t love his mother to death in fic - and vice versa - you’re wrong #she didn’t want her baby to go away to durmstrang because it was too far away #she risked her life for him not just in the forbidden forest but potentially for making that unbreakable vow - surely voldemort’s reaction to that could have been a mess #it’s like - not even a question to her that draco is above all things #she reacts to the idea of protecting draco above all else with such - resignment seems too negative a term - just #a total sound sense of OF COURSE this is what i am doing there is no other option #and that amount of love and loyalty is staggering #and it’s not going to fall apart in the face of potential differing ideologies or queer leanings or anything else #not when she shows so clearly by the end that draco matters to her more than these idealogies really do #i’m not saying she doesn’t believe in pureblood supremacy or have those beliefs ingrained in her in a very real way #i’m just saying draco means more to her than that

Actually, the photographs are spaced ten years apart, not sixteen.
1912 to 1922.
The young, homeless (but no less dapper) wanderer shown in the first survived the sinking of the Titanic and swam to the shores of West Egg. There he built a life and a large, empty house, in an effort to win the heart of the wealthy, upper class woman he’d fallen in love with a decade earlier and had been separated from against his will.
He shed his earlier identity, and changed his name to reflect his new station. Jack was now known as Jay Gatsby, the eccentric millionaire who threw parties every night in the hopes that one day his love would show up and spin with him as they had long ago in the dance hall of the lower decks.
holy shit
And then, at the beginning of Inception, he starts out washed up on a shore.

Everyone is born, but not everyone is born the same. Some will grow to be butchers, or bakers, or candlestick makers. Some will only be really good at making Jell-O salad. One way or another, though, every human being is unique, for better or for worse.
